Eligible HKU students and staff can use the HKU offer page to activate a Memo plan for a limited promotional period.

How to get started

  1. Go to memo.cards/hku.

  2. Sign in or create an account with your HKU email address.

  3. Follow the on-screen steps to activate the offer.

Eligible email domains

  • Student accounts commonly use @connect.hku.hk.

  • Staff accounts commonly use @hku.hk.

What you can use Memo for

  • Upload PDFs, images, websites, YouTube videos, and pasted text as sources.

  • Generate flashcards, notes, practice tests, mindmaps, tracks, podcasts, tutor sessions, and infographics in Studio.

  • Review flashcards with Learn Mode and Cram.

  • Use Copilot to ask questions about selected deck sources.

Usage and plan details

Memo uses an energy-based usage model for supported AI actions. Open Settings → Usage to see your current balance, reset timing, and action/model costs. Open Settings → Subscription to view your current plan state.

Troubleshooting

  • If activation does not work, confirm that you are using an eligible HKU email address.

  • If you already have a Memo account under another email, sign out and start again with your HKU email.

  • If you still need help, contact support with the email you used and a screenshot of the issue.
