Language is universal across Studio and Chat

When you change Output Language in any Studio customize dialog, that updates your default output language across all Studio generations and your Copilot Chat panel.
If you leave it on Auto, Memo detects the source language automatically.

Quick generate vs Customize

  • Click a Studio tile to generate with default settings.

  • Click the pencil (Edit) icon on a tile to open customization.

  • The pencil appears when sources are available and generation is not in progress.

How to generate

  1. Open Studio.

  2. Click Tutor to start with defaults.

  3. Complete your voice session and review transcript/history in Tutor.

How to customize

  1. Click the pencil on Tutor.

  2. Choose a Tutor Persona:

    • Richard Feynman

    • Strict Professor

  3. Add Custom Tutor Instructions (optional, up to 600 chars).

  4. Click Start Session.

Language behavior

  • Tutor inherits your global output language.

  • In live voice tutor, users can pick from supported voice languages.

  • If the selected global language is unsupported for voice tutor, it falls back to English.
