Notes

Notes turn selected sources into a readable study document. You can generate quickly with defaults or customize the note style before starting.

Before you start

• Add at least one source to your deck.

• Wait for the source to show Ready.

• Select the sources you want the notes to use.

Quick generate

1. Open your deck.

2. Go to Studio.

3. Click Notes.

4. Open the generated notes when the run finishes.

Customize before generating

1. In Studio, click the pencil icon on Notes.

2. Choose a note style such as bullet notes, table, Cornell, summary, toggles, or custom.

3. Choose a skill if the dialog shows a skill selector.

4. Set the output language if needed.

5. Add custom instructions. Custom style requires instructions.

6. Click Generate.

After generation

Completed notes stay in Studio history. From there, you can usually open, rename, delete, or export them.

Export options

Notes can be exported as Markdown or PDF. Use Markdown if you want editable text in another app, and PDF if you want a fixed document.

Important notes

• Notes are generated from the sources selected at run time.

• The output language setting is shared across Studio and Copilot.

• Long or complex source sets can take longer to process.
